An Urgent Request by Reuben Goossens

Founder of “Save the Classic Liner Campaign”

Dear Supporters and friends.

I am well aware that the MV Baragoola may not fit my criteria as a “classic liner”, however, I believe with all my heart that this superbly historic vessel, which I have supported online for quite some time needs to be restored. She has now been purchased from the hands of doom, but funds are now urgently needed for the project to go ahead full steam. The Baragoola Preservation Association is doing a superb job and have worked so hard in obtaining her, now the job is to restore her, thus why not come aboard and assist!

Please Donate to the

Baragoola Preservation Association”

The Baragoola Preservation Association is currently accepting donations (they are legally incorporated and are - not for profit Association with the Authority to Fundraise). At this time the Baragoola Preservation Association cannot offer “tax deductibility” on donations made, therefore please bear this in mind before donating, however, also keep in mind of the importance of keeping this vital piece of maritime history alive and afloat for our future generations to see and enjoy!

Cheque and money orders should be made out to “The Baragoola Preservation Association Incorporated” and posted to:

I appreciate any assistance you can be, no matter what part of the world you are in, for if you truly love ships and the sea, you will appreciate this amazingly historic ferry that has plied Sydney’s famous harbour and sailed past the at times very rough Sydney Heads, that would have seen her pitch like mad, but came through it without ever being damaged!

For information and news please visit: www.savethebaragoola.com and support this important work to the fullest!

Photographs on ssmaritime and associate pages are by the author or from the author’s private collection. In addition there are some images that have been provided by Shipping Companies and private photographers or collectors. Credit is given to all contributors. However, there are some photographs provided to me without details regarding the photographer/owner concerned. I hereby invite if owners of these images would be so kind to make them-selves known to me (my email address may be found on www.ssmaritime.com only), in order that due credit may be given. I know what it is like, I have seen a multitude of my own photographs on other sites, yet these individuals either refuse to provide credit or remove them when asked, knowing full well that there is no legal comeback when it comes to the net. However, let us show these charlatans up and do the right thing at all times and give credit where credit is due!

This notice covers all pages, although, and I have done my best to ensure that all photographs are duly credited and that this notice is displaced on each page, that is, when a page is updated!
