Her Early Days

If you have arrived at this page directly during your search, you may wish to read our Canberra page first. It is located at … SS Canberra Main Page.

Canberra departs New York City on the 4th of July 1979

Illustrations shown on this page were pre completion of Canberra and are rare. Interior photographs were sourced from P&O’s brochures released in the 60’s. The *staircase photograph down the page was taken by the author in 1996. I trust you will enjoy walking down memory lane as we visit Canberra in her very early days.
