The Veldhuis Collection is presented by Mr Harm Brink of the Dutch Cruise Site

January 21, 2014: Today I received an email from Mr Harm Brink in the Netherland’s with the good news that Mrs Veldhuis had provided him with one more painting and he send me a superb photo of it. I did do some work on it on Photoshop, thus its magnificence can be fully realised, in addition I will also show it in a much larger format that I have all the other images I placed online in 2001! I am sure you will enjoy this great painter’s work, for his life will long be remembered!

SS Nieuw Amsterdam - Holland Amerika Lijn (HAL) - 1937 / 1974 – 36,287 GRT

GRT = Gross Registered Tons

The SS Nieuw Amsterdam was and still is considered to be the most beautiful liner ever built, as her lines were simple perfection. Her interior d?cor was sort of modern to Art Deco and she set a whole new style of luxury in Trans Atlantic travel! See: SS Nieuw Amsterdam.
