Queen Mary berthed at Long Beach is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. She remains one of the most famous ships in history. She is a floating city awash in elegance and she has a Stateroom ready for all who wish to relive the days of Grand Ocean Liner travel, whilst visiting Long Beach!

When in California, head for Long Beach visit the legendary Queen Mary. Book the Behind the Scenes Guided Tour of the historic ocean liner and World War II troopship, see restored areas that have been under wraps since the final voyage to Long Beach in 1967, including the Isolation Wards and the aft Machine Rooms.

Enjoy the many exhibits, including one of the Cold War’s hottest weapons, the Russian submarine, code name: Scorpion. She is rugged, spartan, very cramped and shrouded in secrecy. Feel the chill of 300 feet of Cold War menace. Admission to the ship and attractions.

Onboard the Queen Mary the is much to do - enjoy a meal in one of the restaurants Sir Winston’sThe ChelseaPromenade CaféObservation BarChampagne Sunday Brunch and The Sun Deck Deli.Go shopping at one of 15 shops onboard and ashore; better still spend a night or two in an original First Class Stateroom.

Photographs on ssmaritime and associate pages are by the author or from the author’s private collection. In addition there are some images that have been provided by Shipping Companies and private photographers or collectors. Credit is given to all contributors. However, there are some photographs provided to me without details regarding the photographer/owner concerned. I hereby invite if owners of these images would be so kind to make them-selves known to me (my email address may be found on www.ssmaritime.com only), in order that due credit may be given. I know what it is like, I have seen a multitude of my own photographs on other sites, yet these individuals either refuse to provide credit or remove them when asked, knowing full well that there is no legal comeback when it comes to the net. However, let us show these charlatans up and do the right thing at all times and give credit where credit is due!

This notice covers all pages, although, and I have done my best to ensure that all photographs are duly credited and that this notice is displaced on each page, that is, when a page is updated!
